Born and raised in Albertville, France, Sylviane was 10 years old the first time her father took her to Le Louvre Museum in Paris. "I will always cherish the memory of travelling from a little town in the Alps to the City Of Arts. I was lost in feelings of admiration, and I still vividly remember the colors and the smell of oil painting". Many years later, after being a wife, mother and lawyer clerk, Sylviane took her first painting class which gave birth to the artist in her. In 2000, she became an art instructor and managed her own studio in France. Sylviane moved to California in 2006, and her interests went from acrylic to ceramic, china, watercolor, pastel and oil. "When I hold my brush, the world around me vanishes, time stops and my heart opens. Being able to bring illusion to the eyes from a white canvas is magical. If I can move or touched only one viewer, then my goal is achieved."
