Over time dear artists pass from the gallery, an integral part of our art community.
Phil Brown-August 2017
Phil was a consummate painter, having stalked the wild and scenic South Yuba River area by area in over 500 oil paintings. He taught privately for years during and after his retirement from teaching art at the Sierra College Campus in Grass Valley. His artwork was easy to show and sell and the last one went to a collector two weeks before he passed away. We will miss Phil Brown immensely, his warmth, humor and fine art work will always be remembered with love.
Daniel Brooks-September 2017
Daniel was a sweet and caring man who had an esthetic which translated in everything he created. He loved origami and made elaborate origami assemblages that were light as well as deep. Daniel was loved by so many and will be missed deeply.
Margaret Swan Levine-September 2017
Peggy, as she was known to all, was a gentle artist and sensitive printer who made detailed drawings-etchings of wispy delicate floral arrangements and everyday interiors. She always entered a room with wings, a soft smile and embellished conversation.
John Mowen-January 2014
A friend and artist, John was the strength behind the original gallery and worked his art with deep passion and a serene esthetic. Always able to engage in a conversation about art, his presence is sorely missed at all times.
